RCM high contrast images allow for optimal deconvolution. Here we showed how standard-confocal systems were not able to resolve the structure of the synaptonemal complex due to low signal to noise ratio. However, RCM images were optimal for deconvolution and allowed visualization of the synaptonemal complexes, reaching 120nm resolution. Find out more, download the full document.
