Confocal NL appoints Christoph van der Reijden as its new CTO a.i. and thanks Stefan Lampaert for his tremendous contributions to growing Confocal NL into a successful company today.

Mr. van der Reijden is a seasoned technical professional with extensive experience in research & development of medical imaging, diagnostics, acoustics, and spanning research. He is highly skilled in optical imaging, microscopy, ESD safety, and signal processing, with a proven ability to enhance product functionality and usability.

Highlights from his experience include developing innovative solutions such as a surgical imaging system to differentiate diseased tissue using fluorescence at Quest Medical Imaging, and a reagent production instrument for blood analyzers now widely sold at RR Mechatronics. His expertise also includes designing and verifying hardware and software, applying statistical methods for design validation, and leading quality compliance efforts, including FDA applications.
