Avoiding phototoxicity is a big challenge for biologist engaged in live cell imaging. Here we performed long-term live imaging of the mitochondrial matrix using RCM and showed high-frequency live-cell imaging of mitochondria, with high resolution and no signs of phototoxicity or bleaching.
